STANLEY DAVIS CLARK SR.

Cmdr. Stanley Davis Clark Sr., U.S. Navy, Ret., 63, of the 4200 block of Ben Gunn Road, died Feb. 15, 1995, in his home.

Commander Clark was a native of Rockville Center, New York. He was a graduate of the class of 1952 United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. During his naval career, he served as the captain of both the Notable and the Holder. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College. He received his master's in meteorology from the U.S. post graduate school.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Thomas Clark; two sons, Lt. Cmdr. Stanley D. Clark Jr., U.S. Navy, Ret., and Timothy Ward Clark; and two grandchildren; Jessica Clark and Ryan Clark, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

A local memorial service is pending. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
