An ordinance to amend and reordain section 1 of the Capital Improvement Budget for the fiscal year 1988-89, as amended to increase funding for the project titled ``Virginia Beach Corridor Water Transmission'' by $400,000 from $2,420,000 to $2,820,000; and to provide the funds by decreasing the funds for the project titles ``48 Inch Raw Water Transmission Main: 3rd Stage'' by $400,000 from $6,000,000 to $5,600,000. An ordinance accepting and appropriating $50,000 in Federal Jobs Pass-Through Funds, authorizing expenditure of $50,000 from the City's General Fund in support of the Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Program and authorizing the City manager to enter into an agreement with Community Against Drug Related Activities (CADRA). Approved, 7-0.
An ordinance accepting a donation of $408,100 from the Norfolk Botanical Garden Society, authorizing the appropriation and expenditure of the $408,100 for the construction of Baker Hall and a Japanese Garden at the Norfolk Botanical Garden and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with the Norfolk Botanical Garden Society in regard to the construction. Approved, 7-0.
