EQUI-KIDS THANKS VOLUNTEERS, INVITES PUBLIC TO VISIT PROGRAM

As we enter our sixth year of serving the challenged populations of Hampton Roads, the Board of Directors for the Equi-Kids Therapeutic Riding Program would like to thank all of those who serve so selflessly for our cause:

The hundreds of volunteers who give of their time and energies in caring for the program animals; the parents and students; the owners of loaned horses and ponies; and the interested members of the community who support us through generous donations, both financial and in-kind.

Special thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Roundtree, owners of Holly Ridge Manor, where the program is stabled free of charge; Dr. Tom Wood, Princess Anne Equine Practice; and Mr. Donnie Upton, Upton Enterprises.

Thanks to the caring efforts of all these people, we were able to offer therapeutic lessons to more than 150 students (both children and adults) during 1994.

We would especially like to thank those individuals, civic groups and businesses who have given over $1,000 to the program in 1994:

Mrs. Norma T. Dunn; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmidt; Presbytery of Eastern Virginia; City of Virginia Beach (COIG program); Virginia Beach Junior Woman's Club; United Coatings/Mr. Lee Murphy; First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach; Hunton and Williams/Mr. Gregory Stillman (pass through from the Virginia Beach Foundation); Lynnhaven Kiwanis; Little Neck Circle of The King's Daughters'; the Carrie S. Camp Foundation Inc.; and the Virginia Beach Exchange Club.

Equi-Kids eagerly looks forward to serving Hampton Roads in 1995 and invites the public to see our students in action at Holly Ridge Manor, 2997 Seaboard Road, Virginia Beach.
