Garland Gladden, 64, of Wilmington, N.C., and formerly of Birdsnest, Va., died Feb. 14, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Gladden was retired as manager of Suburban Propane in Wilmington, N.C., was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church and son of the late Russell and Carrie Downing Gladden.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Ewell Gladden; a daughter, Susan Daniel of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Chris Gladden of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Carolyn G. Harrison of Belle Haven, Va., and Rosebel G. Miller of Melfa, Va.; a brother, Robert Gladden of Marionville, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today in Wilmington, N.C. Coble-Ward-Smith Funeral Home, Wilmington, N.C., is handling arrangements.
