John Clifton McClain, 75, of the 8800 block of Gramel St., died Feb. 15, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. McClain was born in Scottsdale, Pa., and was a former salesman for Green-Gifford Motor Co. and was the service manager of Lurhing Motor Co. He was the widower of Helen Louise McClain. He was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, chairman of the board, treasurer of the church Sunday School and treasurer of the United Methodist Men.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara M. and her husband, Bobby Joe Rice of Virginia Beach, Sharon L. and her husband, William Roland McCleary of Charlottesville, Va., and Susan E. McClain of London, England; three grandchildren, Robert J. Rice, John McCleary and Meghan McCleary.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Morris Bennett. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Miles Memorial United Methodist Church.
