Hallowed ``Holiday'' Thomas Wright Sr., 65, of the 1100 block of Loretta Lane, a retired state inspector, died Feb. 15, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Wright was born in Princess Anne County. He was a deacon, trustee and usher of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. He was a treasurer of Pride of Virginia Beach Lodge (NU)90 AA Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, a member of the United Bible Class of Virginia Beach, honorary member of Asbury United Methodist Church and member of the 1st Seatack Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marguerite O. Wright; a son, Hallowed T. Wright Jr.; two daughters, Brenda Wright-Owens and Barbara O. Lewis, all of Virginia Beach; one daughter-in-law, Terry A. Wright; two sons-in-law, Richard E. Owens and Michael L. Lewis Sr.; three grandsons, Hallowed Wright III, Michael Lewis Jr. and Joshua Owens; and one granddaughter, Brittany Lewis. Other survivors include a sister, Elaine Cooper; a special niece, Patricia Cooper, M.D.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Olive Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles E. Williams Sr. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
