Newport News won state approval this week to expand its enterprise zone to include an 137-acre industrial area between Chestnut Avenue and City Line Road. The expansion will allow firms in Copeland Industrial Park, which has seven firms located there already, to take advantage of state and local enterprise zone benefits, which include tax credits, refunds and other benefits. by CNB
