Since the majority of Americans feel uncomfortable with abortion, President Clinton has done the nation a disservice by nominating such a controversial figure as Dr. Henry Foster for surgeon general.
After insulting us with Joycelyn Elders, Clinton now wishes to impose upon us someone who has not only aborted babies but is deceitful about the number he has aborted.
Instead of providing strong, considerate leadership, Clinton's unfathomable actions are dividing America.

It is not wrong to make a mistake as long as you learn from it. What is wrong is when you know that an obvious mistake has been made and you try to justify it.
Regarding the Foster nomination: I pray that Clinton will learn to do his homework (thoroughly) and try for some aisle consensus before sending another willing public-servant nominee to the slaughterhouse.

How many abortions he did and for what reasons is not the point.
The point is that he lied in order to be politically acceptable. We do not need more liars in political office, nor do we want our president to condone lying. We need leaders who are dependably honest.
