Franklin City Council appointed seven citizens to serve on the newly founded Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
The board will assist in obtaining input from the community on recreational activities and programs, and act as liaison between citizens and the director of Parks and Recreation.
Duties of the board include providing advice on such matters as personnel policies, budget, long-range planning, and the use, acquisition and disposal of parks and recreational properties. The board will meet monthly.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members and the ward they represent are as follows:
