Otis Gene Barnette, 59, of the 4000 block of Narragansett Drive, a retired supervisor, died Feb. 17, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Barnette was born in Bertie County, N.C. He retired from Pan Am Airlines.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara Joyce Barnette; two daughters, Cindy A. Jackson of Virginia Beach and Brenda Faye Black of Danville, Va.; his mother, Mrs. Louise D. Maltby of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Abner W. Barnette Jr. of Chesapeake and Clyde A. Barnette of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren, Candace Jeanne Jackson and Shane Shadrick Jackson of Virginia Beach and Christine McKinny and Travis McKinny of Danville, Va.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
