Mr. David Harold Ruben, 71, died Saturday, February 18, 1995, at home.
Born in Newport News, Mr. Ruben, a retired business executive, founded and operated Golden Food Products, Inc., a local snack food company, for 30 years. He was a member of the Virginia Food Dealers Association, a Mason, Newport News Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple, and a member of Rodef Sholom Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Holzweig Ruben, three sons, Frank Ruben, Philip Ruben, and Steven Ruben, all of Virginia Beach, one daughter Ilene Ruben Kiefer, of Potomac, Maryland, one brother, Jerry Ruben of Newport News, one sister, Lillian Ruben of Virginia Beach and 3 grandchildren.
Services at Rodef Sholom Temple on Monday, February 20, 1995, at 12 p.m. (noon), with Rabbi Efrain Warshaw; burial at Hebrew Cemetery, Hampton.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
