Douglas A. ``Charlie'' Shaw, 87, a retired meter reader, died Feb. 18, 1995, in DePaul Hospital.
Mr. Shaw was born in Rockbridge County, Va. He had retired from Vepco after 27 years. He had been retired for 22 years. He was a member of Norview Presbyterian Church, where he was also elder, deacon and church treasurer. He was a member of Sherwood Forest Senior Citizen 50 plus Senior Citizen Club.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 1/2 years, Mary Alice Shaw; a daughter, Anne C. Meska of Durham, N.C.; a son, Walter Scott Shaw of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Amanda N. Holmes of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Clyde Johnson and the Rev. Vernon Murray. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
