A 31-year-old man who already was in jail on unrelated charges has been charged with the Feb. 11 murder of Otis E. James.
Police said Gren Garrett of the 900 block of Reservoir Ave. was charged with murder, using a firearm while committing a felony and being in possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony.
It was unclear Sunday what previous charges Garrett was being held for.
James, 31, a sand blaster who lived in the 400 block of Saddlerock Road, was found slain in a home in the 900 block of Reservoir Ave., police said. His body was discovered after area residents reported gunshots.
