Virginia Beach's Community United Methodist Church bell choir was
pictured in a Feb. 17 Beacon story about the Very Special Arts
Festival at the Kempsville Recreation Center. The cutline listed an
incorrect city.
The price of an adult haircut at Cartoon Cuts at Lynnhaven Mall
is $13.95. The cost for an adult haircut, style, and blow dry is
$16.95. A story in the Feb. 15 Beacon listed an incorrect amount.
Clarification
A story in the Feb. 8 Beacon about Bingo confused how a portion
of proceeds from the game are used. Volunteers at bingo halls are
not paid for their services. Some of the money generated by bingo is
used to support non-profit charitable organizations, which
themselves pay salaries to workers.
