Virginia M. Giverdon died on Monday at the Hamilton Pavilion Convalescent Home.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1906, in Norfolk, Va., daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Anderson) Thornton. She was married to Paul L. Giverdon Sr. on Oct. 5, 1929, in Norwich, Conn.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by a son, Paul L. Giverdon Jr. of Norwich; a sister, Patricia Tynes of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Patricia Tynes of Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Ernest F. Giverdon; two brothers, Stanley and John Thornton.
The Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, is in charge of arrangements.
