Mrs. Annie Pritchett Davenport, 96, of the 400 block of W. Colonial Ave., died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at Albemarle Hospital.
She was a native of Washington County and a member of First Christian Church for 52 years, where she was a member of the Loyal Women's Sunday School Class and the Christian Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Davenport was the daughter of the late Ephraim and Alethia Norman Pritchett and the widow of Paul S. Davenport.
Survivors include five daughters, Nancy N. Crabb and Paula D. Meads, both of Elizabeth City, Alethia N. Spry of Coinjock, N.C., Annette D. Peoples of Chesapeake and Rebecca D. Evans of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, Seaton B. Norman of Laurel, Md., Albert H. Norman of Orinda, Calif., and Paul S. Davenport Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one sister, Lucy P. Alexander of Creswell, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Roberts and the Rev. Ralph Messick officiating. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford's Memorial Chapel from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
