SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Assault and battery, Feb. 9, an elementary school driver had a verbal and physical altercation with a teacher and a student who was being escorted to the principal's office.

Breaking and entering (house), 6200 block White Elm Court, Feb. 13, the residence was entered through the upstairs bedroom window and ransacked, although nothing was removed.

DISTRICT C

Breaking and entering (house), 400 block Jackson St., Feb. 10, someone entered a house through an unlocked front door and removed a VCR.

Grand larceny, 600 block North Main St., Feb. 12, someone cut through the soft top of a city-issued vehicle and removed the contents of the back seat, including one black ballistic helmet, one black duffle bag and one burgundy leather briefcase valued at $50. The briefcase contained personal papers and one spelling computer valued at $50.

Grand larceny, 1300 block Holland Rd., Feb. 13, someone removed approximately $500 worth of hand tools from the back of a company owned truck parked at a residence.

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block North Main St., Feb. 13, someone broke two small windows in the front of the store, entered and removed several pairs of dress pants.

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block North Main St., Feb. 15, someone had broken the window at a prior date. They entered the store and removed four jackets.

DISTRICT D

Aggravated sexual battery, 1000 block Cogic Square, Feb. 9, a parent reported that her son was fondled.

Grand larceny, 1200 Whitemarsh Rd., Feb. 9, someone removed a new 20'' color TV from a home.

Breaking and entering (school), 200 block Walnut St., Feb. 10, someone attempted to gain entry to a portable school unit by forcing the lock. The lock was damaged but entry was not gained by this method. The north side window was then broken open. Items were knocked over, however, nothing was removed.

Armed robbery, 200 block Pinner St., Feb. 10, three men approached another from behind and held a gun to his head demanding money. The victim handed them all of his money consisting of $12 and his leather coat valued at $40.

Armed robbery, 300 block Bank St., Feb. 10, two men got out of a car and began walking behind another. They grabbed the victim, put a gun to his face and took $150 in cash and ATM bank cards.

Strong arm robbery, 100 block North Lloyd St., Feb. 11, while walking down the street, the victim was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette and started a conversation. While they were talking, a car pulled up and two men got out. The three men began kicking the victim and tried to take his money but were unable to remove it and fled the scene.

Throw missile at house, 100 block Greenfield Crescent, Feb. 11, someone threw a rock through a second floor front bedroom window.

Breaking and entering (house), 1000 block Nansemond Parkway, Feb. 11, someone forced open a bedroom window.

Destroy property, 200 block Columbus Ave., Feb. 11, someone knocked on the front door and then went around to the back, knocked twice, then forced open the door. When someone from inside the house called out, the person slammed the door and ran.

Breaking and entering (house), 200 North 4th St., Feb. 11, someone entered a house and removed one television and one radio.

Petit larceny, 100 block East Washington St., Feb. 12, someone removed both Virginia license plates from a vehicle.

Motor vehicle theft, 1400 block East Washington St., Feb. 12, someone removed a vehicle while the owner was attending church.

Malicious wounding, 100 block North Lloyd St., Feb. 13, two people were involved in an argument when one of the men struck the other with a bottle.

Attempted armed robbery, 600 block Carolina Rd., Feb. 13, a man walked up to the drive-through window of a food store, displayed a dark, long-barreled revolverand stated, ``Give me your money.'' The clerk slapped the gun away and the person fled to Nancy Drive. The person was wearing a green mask like in the movie ``Mask.''

Sticker theft, various locations, Feb. 14, several people called to report that their city stickers as being lost or stolen.

Shoot at house, 200 block Columbus Ave., someone reported that a person shot into their home. A bullet was retrieved at the scene.

Breaking and entering (house), 1000 Cogic Square, Feb. 15, someone cut the back door screen and attempted to gain entry.

DISTRICT E

Petit larceny, 3500 block Holland Rd., Feb. 11, two men were drinking together and one passed out. When he recovered, he discovered that $120 and the other person were missing from the apartment.

Grand larceny, 200 block Kenyon Rd., Feb. 14, two people entered the campus library office and removed a Panasonic camcorder and tripod.

Vandalism, 10900 block Ellis Rd., Feb. 15, someone's living room and vehicle windows were broken after a domestic dispute.

DISTRICT F

Motor vehicle theft, 3800 block Adams Swamp Rd., Feb. 12, someone offered a ride to a person. When he stopped to use the restroom, the rider drove off with his vehicle.

Lost or stolen, 600 block North Liberty Springs Rd., Feb. 13, a city sticker was removed or stolen from a vehicle.

Petit larceny, 100 block Robertson St., Feb. 14, someone removed a Panasonic VCR from the locked computer lab at a school.

Indecent exposure, 500 block Turlington Rd., Feb. 14, a man exposed himself to a woman. She fled in her vehicle and was followed.

Suffolk detectives seek help to find the person responsible for

two burglaries of G.S. Hobb Ltd., in the 100 block of North Main

Street.

The store was entered during the night by breaking out a front

window.

The store was entered on the weekend of Feb. 13, and again the

night of Feb. 15. Thieves removed a large quantity of men's slacks,

all size 34, and a number of green, tan and orange jackets.

Considering the quantity of clothing taken, the items may be

offered for sale on the street. If you have information concerning

these burlaries, call Suffolk Crime Line at 539-1222.

If the information leads to an arrest, you may receive a cash
