ALBERT E. HILL

Albert Eugene Hill, 82, died Wednesday in Halifax Memorial Hospital in Roanoke Rapids.

He was a native of Murfreesboro and was the retired owner of Hill's Truck Line as well as a buyer for Planters Peanut Company. He was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and treasurer. He was an active member of the American George Masonic Lodge (NU)17, where he served as secretary for 31 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred White Hill; two sons, Albert Hill Jr. and Bruce Hill, both of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Betty H. Barrett of Conway and Judy H. Faison of Franklin, Va.; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Hill of Como, Teresa Kelley of Chesapeake, Kent Barrett of Greenville, Kim Bryant of Woodland, Jeffery Faison of Franklin, Va., Lisa Edwards of Courtland, Va., Susan Rose and Tina Edwards, both of Ahoskie, and Anita Futrell of Conway; two brothers, Chester Hill and James Hill, both of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Marion Howell of Murfreesboro, Cornelia Smith of Zebulon, N.C. and Jean Ricks of Conway; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, by the Rev. Davis Smith. The family will receive friends at the home, 109 Spring Ave., Murfreesboro. Memorial donations may be made to Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, N.C. Bridgers Funeral Home, Conway, is handling arrangements.
