Julia Clark Groobey, of the 100 block of E. Severn Road, a retired registered nurse, died Feb. 22, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Groobey was born in Danville, Va. She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension and the DePaul Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary and was the widow of John M. Groobey.
Survivors include a daughter, Ginger Groobey Elliot of Rocky Mount, N.C.; a son, John A. Groobey of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, H.C. Clark of Danville, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Ascension by the Rev. Mark Delcuze. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and to the Church of the Ascension or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family will receive friends at the residence.
