Willie Thomas Sears Jr., 66, of the first block of Easton St., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Sears was a native of Belhaven, N.C. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a crane operator and was a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898.
Survivors include three daughters, Rachel Endio of Quantico, Va., Teresa Emanuel of Maxon, N.C., and Hallie Sears of Portsmouth; a son, Willie T. Sears III of Portsmouth; two sisters, Helen Snow of Portsmouth and Katherine Crews of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Troy Sears of Mississippi; one grandchild; and his ex-wife, Frankie Hicks.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Sandra A. Barker. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
