William Lester Davis, 80, of the 1500 block of Campostella Road, died Feb. 23, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Davis was born in Big Stone Gap, Va. He retired from Norfolk Dredging Co. in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Ann Helms of Chesapeake and Joyce Vandgrift of Hertford, N.C.; one brother, Paul E. Davis of Big Stone Gap, Va.; one sister, F. Evelyn Owens of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Smith and Williams Kempsville Chapel. Mr. Davis will be sent to Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va., for a chapel service on Monday at 11 a.m. Friends may join the family at Holding Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
