ALICE W. HOLLEY

Alice W. Holley, of the 500 block of Stafford St., died Feb. 21, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Holley was born in Tyrrell County, N.C. She was a retired presser with Virginia Cleaners, the widow of Herbert Holley and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Bells Diamond).

Survivors include three daughters, Mamie L. Davis of Chesapeake and Maggie L. Bryant and Alice Webb, both of Norfolk; a son, James A. Holley of Chesapeake; a sister, Castella Barbar, and a brother, Gladwell Williams, both of Columbia, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Bells Diamond), Norfolk, by Dr. Charles Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 511 Stafford St. (Apt. A) at 11 a.m. Saturday for funeral processional to the church.
