Virginia Beach Federal Savings Bank to open Peninsula branch: Virginia Beach Federal Savings Bank said that its first Peninsula branch will open Monday in the Denbigh area of Newport News. The Virginia Beach thrift, whose nine other offices are in South Hampton Roads, has one mortgage-origination office in Newport News and another in Williamsburg. The new branch is located at 12705 Jefferson Ave. Virginia Beach Federal also said that it plans to open a branch in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake in March. (Staff) by CNB
