SLAIN CHILDREN BURIED

About 100 mourners attended the Seaford, Del., funeral Friday for three children who died in a burning van on the Outer Banks Sunday.

Douglas J. Mont, 35, who was estranged from the children's mother, apparently shot Catrina, 9, Daniel, 6, and Theresa, 4, in the head before setting fire to the van. When police confronted Mont near the Wright Brothers Memorial, he shot himself to death.

The mourners at the funeral included members of Catrina's Girl Scout troop. On the Outer Banks, more than 15 families had taken flowers to the Kill Devil Hills site of the slayings.
