William Wallace Williams Sr., 73, of the 800 block of Crepe Myrtle Lane, a retired carpenter, died Feb. 24, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Williams was born in Hyde County, N.C. He retired from J.G. Horton & Son Construction, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Doris ``Lucille'' Williams; four daughters, Cynthia Louise Fretwell of Lake Butler, Fla., Susie Jayne Shaw of Cogan Station, Pa., and Tammy Doris Dirks and Sharon Lynn Jordan, both of Virginia Beach; a son, William Wallace Williams Jr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Rosa Lee Ross of Kinston, N.C.; two brothers, James Arden Williams of Richland, N.C., and Kelly Williams of Georgia; and 15 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church, 4832 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Earnest Roebuck. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, N.C. Friends will be recieved from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Flowers may be delivered to Altmeyer Funeral Home today from 3 to 5 and after 7 to the church.
