Voyd Houston Gentry, 74, of the 1100 block of Myrtle St., died Feb. 25, 1995, in Obici Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Gentry was born in Flag Pond, Tenn. He was owner-operator of Gentry's Auto Parks, Suffolk, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, May Trott Gentry; two daughters, Brenda G. Montgomery of Suffolk and Wanda G. Robertson of Chesapeake; a sister, Helen G. Ashby of Chuckey, Tenn.; two half-sisters, June Watts and Robbie Ramsey, both of Erwin, Tenn.; a half-brother, Clark Gentry of Flag Pond, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen T. Gentry; a son, Frank D. Gentry, and his parents, Almetta Ray Gentry and Offie Gentry.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church by the Rev. T.A. Powell and the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, 2601 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434.
