Sadie Mae Monroe, 76, of the 8300 block of Halprin Drive, died Feb. 24, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Monroe was born in Ridgeway, S.C. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was the widow of William H. Monroe Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Sadie E. Crain of Norfolk; a sister, Emma Floyd, and a brother, Heber Branham, both of Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Bishop Robert Dickson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
