LAURA A. PEACOCK

Laura A. Peacock, 85, of the 5600 block of Wesleyan Drive, died Feb. 25, 1995, in Brighton Gardens.

Mrs. Peacock was born in Hornbeak, Tenn. She was the widow of the Rev. William C. Peacock Jr. She was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church and was an affiliate member of Baylake United Methodist Church, Women of Wesleyan at Virginia Wesleyan College and United Methodist Women. She was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Joan Golden.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara P. Plunkett and Ann P. Shappell, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Rachel C. Lemmo of Union City, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Helen P. Ruggles of Virginia Beach, William G. Plunkett of New Orleans, La., Laura Katherine Larkin of Pacific Grove, Calif., Cynthia Lorraine Golden of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Bryan Charles Golden and Barbara Ann Golden, both of Fredericksburg, Texas, Kristen Ann Shappell, Jennifer Marie Shappell and Laura Elaine Shappell, all of Virginia Beach; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, 9450 Granby St., by the Rev. W. Dabney Walters. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Wesleyan College, 1584 Wesleyan Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
