IVERSON WITHDRAWS LAWSUIT AGAINST FORMER ATTORNEY

A $100 million lawsuit against a former attorney for basketball star Allen Iverson has been withdrawn by Iverson's appeal lawyer.

On Feb. 14, a lawsuit filed in Newport News Circuit Court in Iverson's name contended that Iverson's original attorney, Herbert V. Kelly Sr., erred by not demanding a jury trial when Iverson was charged with maiming by mob.

The legal malpractice lawsuit, brought into court by attorney James Ellenson and signed by Iverson's mother, Ann, had sought $100 million against Kelly and his law firm. by CNB
