GAIL GARRINGTON SERIOUS PLAYER IN THE GAME OF REAL ESTATE.

Gail Garrington likes to win - whether it's playing cards with her husband or in the competitive game of real estate.

Since going into the house-selling business - selling homes of all prices - the Hampton Roads native and former information operator once listed $9 million in real estate in one day.

When she decided to quit her city job and go into the real estate trade, some friends and coworkers tried to change her mind. ``But if someone says you can't do it or don't do it . . . it's like a green light, for me,'' said Gail. ``I like a challenge.''

What is your idea of a perfect day off? All day on the beach, dining out, playing cards with Billy - me winning of course.

Favorite movies: ``Pretty Woman,'' ``Forrest Gump.''

Hobbies: Work, wave riding, skiing - if I ever get to Aspen again.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd be allergy and asthma free.

If you could change one thing about your spouse, what would it be? His golfing handicap. I'd love to see him qualify for the senior tour.

Secret vice: Sweets, but it's no secret.

Favorite restaurant: Aldo's.

Your favorite night on the town: Dining out with family and friends, a long walk on the Boardwalk and snuggling in front of the fire.
