JOSEPH E. DEW JR.

Joseph Edward Dew Jr., 77, of the 5100 block of Garner Ave., died Feb. 28, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Dew, a native of Portsmouth, retired as an aviation metalsmith from the Norfolk Naval Air Station and Norshipco. He was a member of West End United Methodist Church and the Dean Cornelius Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Norris Dew; a sister, Estelle Smith of Portsmouth; a half sister, Ida King of Norfolk; a brother, Richard Dew of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by the Rev. Robert Hawkins. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
