Jerry M. Zabler, 49, a retired chief electronics technician, died Feb. 27, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Zabler was born in Elkhorn, Wis., and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 1/2 years. He was a member of Spring Prairie United Methodist Church in Elkhorn.
Survivors include his wife, Lanie L. Zabler; a daughter, Lorina Marie Zabler and a son, John L. Zabler, both of Virginia Beach; his father, Ben E. Zabler of Elkhorn, Wis.; two sisters, Jane Malecki of Huntley, Ill., and Judi Schiefelbein of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Jeff Zabler of Jim Falls, Wis.; a stepsister, Diana Smiley of Edgerton, Wis.; three stepbrothers, Rodney Baumann and Dennis Baumann, both of Harvard, Ill., and Dale Baumann of Pell Lakes, Wis.; and his stepmother, Shirley J. Zabler of Elkhorn.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Ken Rice. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.
