Daisy Spahr Weddle, 85, of the 3700 block of Hardwick Terrace, died Feb. 28, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Weddle, a native of Bristol, Va., was the daughter of the late Henry Hallock Spahr and Tabitha Rebecca Shelley Spahr. She was the widow of Dr. J. Guy Weddle Jr. and had worked in her husband's dental office for a number of years. She was a retired school teacher and had also worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mrs. Weddle was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Fort Nelson Chapter of the D.A.R., and the Bruner Sunday School Class of the church.
Survivors include a son, Guy Spahr Weddle of Chesapeake; and a sister, Ida Garner of Knoxville, Tenn.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Ector Hamrick. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the Port Norfolk Baptist Church.
