LOCAL WOMAN NAMED TO U.VA. BOARD

A Hampton Roads businesswoman was appointed Wednesday to the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors.

Elizabeth Twohy, a U.Va. graduate, is president and general manager of Capital Concrete Inc. in Norfolk.

Gov. George F. Allen appointed two other board members - John P. Ackerly III of Richmond and T. Keister Greer of Franklin County, both lawyers. The three will replace Patricia M. Kluge, W.L. Lyons Brown Jr. and N. Thomas Connally.

Allen reappointed one member, Elsie Holland, a reading specialist for the Richmond school system. All will serve four-year terms.
