The Portsmouth Public Library recently acquired ``Family Search,'' a computer system of programs and data bases that help families identify their ancestors.
The file includes an ancestral file, a military index of deaths from the Korean and Vietnam wars, and genealogical research from other regions of the world. The ancestral file includes information on more than 15 million individuals linked into family groups and pedigrees.
The computer is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. It also is accessible to history room card holders during regular library hours. Call 393-8501 for information. by CNB
