The city recently announced that Direct Marketing Enterprises, a New
York-based company, will be relocating to Portsmouth. The company
will bring some 300 jobs to the city. The company, which will begin
the hiring process in the fall, anticipates the following jobs: 85
warehouse ``pickers, packers;'' 27 fork-lift operators; 26 line
supervisors; 37 customer service representatives; 55 computer
operators; 42 clerical workers; and 30 people to fill miscellaneous
jobs.
