TONIGHT

THE GENERATION gap narrows in a togetherness drama that covers three decades and just as many humorous confrontations. Peter Falk stars as Rocky, a cantankerous but lovable Polish immigrant who runs a bakery in Pittsburgh. D.B. Sweeney stars as his grandson. They're unlikely ``Roommates'' in the new comedy-drama. Grandson is raised by his grandpa until the tables are turned. At 75, Rocky moves in with his grandson and begins to take over. He even comments on his grandson's dates. With grandpa living it up to age 107, D.B. has to work into the schedule a wife, children, and a career as a doctor. Sneak preview audiences delivered both tears and guffaws.

WEDNESDAY

THE GRUNGE-GOTH sound of Bush's single ``Everything Zen'' has been a hot item on the airwaves for the past few months. The fact that the band is British yet sounds so Seattle-bred has given the record an extra media hook that can't have hurt, either. On their first major U.S. tour, Bush arrives in Virginia Beach Wednesday at the Abyss, 1065 19th St. The show's at 9 p.m.; tickets are $4.96. Call 422-0748.
