ANN H. ABRAHAM

Ann Hutchings Abraham, of the 1000 block of Norwich Ave., died March 1, 1995, in Sentara Bayside Hospital, Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Abraham was born in Richmond, Va., daughter of the late Robert L. and Jessica Corbett Hutchings.

Mrs. Abraham was a librarian for the Richmond City Public Schools, Virginia Union University and the Public Libraries of Richmond, Va. She also taught in the Southampton Public School System.

She was graduate of the Norfolk Public Schools, Virginia Union University and the University of Michigan.

She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the Retired Teachers Association of Virginia.

Mrs. Abraham was the devoted sister of Hope and Ralph Boykins of Virginia Beach; the aunt of Barbara S. Gibbs of Virginia Beach, Jan N. Boykins of Providence, R.I., Resa Lynne Gibbs of Virginia Beach, Dr. Harold Hutchings of Putnam, Conn., and Dr. William H. Gibbs Jr. of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by a special cousin, Joyce Hayes Melton of Glen Allen, Va., a loyal nurse and friend, Sandra Alston of Chesapeake, along with other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon today in Calvary Cemetery by Father Harold Cobb. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
