Mary Elizabeth Smith, of the 4600 block of Edwardian Court, died Feb. 28, 1995, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born in Princess Anne County. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and OES Chapter (NU)27 (Princess Anne) and was the widow of John Smith. She was a retired domestic after 35 years and the daughter of the late Mary Land Jefferson and James A. Jefferson.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy L. Gordon of Virginia Beach; and a grandson, Steven Gordon of Texas.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.H. Williams. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. A wake will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hale Funeral Home. The family will assemble at her residence.
