Dennis P. Bascom, 32, a self-employed painter, died March 2, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Bascom was born in Portsmouth and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his parents, Margaret Bascom and Paul Bascom, both of Chesapeake; his fiancee, Gail Ankrom of Norfolk; daughter, Ashley N. Ankrom of Norfolk; three sisters, Kathleen M. Bascom of San Francisco, Calif., Peg E. Bascom of Princeton, N.J., and Ellen A. Petersheim of Norfolk; a brother, Timothy R. Bascom of Virginia Beach; paternal grandmother, Roxana Bascom of Mesa, Ariz.; a nephew, Sean Bascom of Virginia Beach; and two nieces, Jessica E. Renz and Caitlin E. Burchfield of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. William Dale. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
