ALSTON HARRISON

Alston ``Buddy'' Harrison, of the 1000 block of Liberty St., a retired warehouseman, died March 3, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Harrison was born in Essex, N.C. He retired from Lone Star Cement Co. and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vermell Jones Harrison; three daughters, Phyllis Blount and Pamela Spruill, both of Portsmouth, and Laurell Williams of Virginia Beach; five sons, Samuel, Reginald and Kenneth A. Harrison Sr., all of Norfolk, SFC Glen Harrison of Fort Polk, La., and Quintin Harrison of Chesapeake; his father, Willie Harrison of Essex, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Bell Diamond), Norfolk, by Dr. Charles Hart. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 1024 Liberty St. (Norfolk) at 11 a.m. Tuesday for funeral processional to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
