SHIRLEY A. BASS

Shirley Ann Bass, 58, of Virginia Beach, died March 4, 1995, in a Virginia Beach Hospital.

Mrs. Bass was born in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Bass of Virginia Beach; six sons, Kenneth E. Klingbeil of San Jose, Calif., Douglas G. Klingbeil of Virginia Beach, Stanley C. Klingbeil of Florence, Ala., Roy L. Klingbeil of Virginia Beach, Bruce A. Bass of USN, stationed at Diego Garcia, Indian Ocean and Michael P. Klingbeil of Norfolk; five daughters, Nancy L. White of Pensacola, Fla., Shirley M. Johnson of Chesapeake, Janis A. Stimis of Florence, S.C., Sandra G. Bass of Atlanta, Ga. and Kathryn R. Bass of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Angus, Clinton, George, and Paul Miller; one sister, Marie Stewart; and 10 grandchildren, Kimberly, Kari, Megan, Joshua, Nikki, Michael, Gina, Chastity, Jenna and Lauren.

Though ill, she devoted her life to the care and support of her children and friends. Her unswerving love and devotion will be terribly missed.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 1995 in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. There will be a visitation in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
