LEE O. LASSITER

Lee Overman ``Red'' Lassiter, 81, of the 100 block of W. Elm St., a retired barber, died March 4, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Mr. Lassiter was born in Bertie County, N.C. He was the widower of Faye Tadlock Lassiter and was a member of Aulander Baptist Church and the Aulander Ruritan Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth L. Bowman of Aulander, N.C.; a foster daughter, Delores B. Stallings of Aulander; a sister, Ruth L. Butcher of Aulander; a grandson, Lee L. Bowman of Aulander; a niece, Wilma Hoggard of Lewiston Woodville, N.C.; a great-niece, Donna Eways of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and a great-great-nephew, Karmel Eways of Rocky Mount

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robbie Best and the Rev. J.N. Baggett. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Aulander Rescue Squad, Aulander, N.C. 27805.
