Rachael Sparrow Smith, of the 600 block of Quail Ave., died March 3, 1995.
Mrs. Smith was the widow of Issac Smith and was a member of Solid Rock Church Disciples. She was predeceased by two daughters, Olivia Parker and Catherine Winslow.
Survivors include a son, Dwight Smith of Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Viola Barton of Virginia Beach, Lola Dickerson of Norfolk and the Rev. Juanita Depree of New York; two brothers, Robert E. Sparrow of Virginia Beach and James Spellman of New York; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Solid Rock Church Disciples, 1025 Kenton Ave., by Dr. Floyd Parker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge. The family will be at her residence.
