VIRGINIA C. MANNION

Mrs. Virginia Channell Mannion, age 94, of 344 S. Church St., Smithfield, died March 7, 1995, at the Riverside Convalescent Center, Smithfield. She was the widow of Eugene A. Mannion.

Mrs. Mannion was a member of Benn's United Methodist Church, the Col. William Allen Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution; Chanco Chapter of Daughters of the American Colonists; Suffolk Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of Colonial Wars in the State of Virginia, the Jamestown Society, and also an honorary member of the Smithfield Woman's Club.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur Otis Channell and Bessie Estelle Morris.

Survivors include one sister, Frances Channell Delk, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Smithfield, Virginia; two nephews; and four nieces.

Graveside service will be conducted Friday, March 10, 1995, at 3 p.m., in St. Lukes Memorial Park, Smithfield, with the Rev. Fred Breeden officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 1995, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home, and at other times at the 344 South Church Street residence.

It is suggested memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Benn's United Methodist Church, 14571 Benn's Church Blvd., Smithfield, Va. 23430, or a charity of your choice.

Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
