As a concerned citizen of Suffolk, I am opposed to the proposed race track in the area.
The No. 1 concern: contamination of our water supply by polluted runoff groundwater.
The No. 2 concern: noise - the impact on hearing-impaired citizens and the distraction of the noise interfering with Sunday church services.
The No. 3 concern: traffic congestion. On a two-lane highway, rescue, fire and police emergencies would be undermined.
All citizens concerned and opposing this race track should contact their mayor, state delegates and senators as soon as possible.
