Frank Ashburn Richards, 52, of the 1300 block of Planters Drive, died March 9, 1995.
A native of Suffolk, he was a son of the late Curry Brown Richards. Mr. Richards was a manager for Nansemond Cold Storage. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church, where he was serving as the superintendent of the Sunday School, a trustee, an administrative board member and a member of the Council on Ministries.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Ellis Richards; a son, Barry Alan Richards of Suffolk; his mother, Florence Ashburn Richards of Suffolk; a brother, Curry Brown Richards Jr. of Sumter, S.C.; and two nieces.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oxford United Methodist Church by the Rev. E.E. Jones. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Oxford United Methodist Church, 601 W.
