A $5,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the death of real estate agent Margaret D. Teele, who died Dec. 10 from injuries sustained in an assault eight days earlier.
The Portsmouth/Chesapeake Association of Realtors spearheaded the movement to offer the reward and donated $1,000. Other contributions came from friends and family members, Food Lion, the owners and agents of Town Pointe Shopping Center and Benzie & Associates Ltd., the firm for which Teele worked for many years.
The $5,000 is being offered in addition to a Crime Line reward, which could be as much as $1,000.
