Marian W. Madison, 88, of the 3500 block of Amherst St., died March 12, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center.
Mrs. Madison was born in Harborton, Va. She had worked in the Credit Office at Sears Roebuck & Co. She was the widow of Willis R. Madison Sr. and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Norfolk. She was a graduate of Maury High School and a member of the Sears Retirees and Miriam Gruber Circle. She was a former member of the Kings Daughters.
Survivors include a daughter, Gladys M. Steorts of Chesapeake; a son, Willis R. Madison Jr. of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, William B. Madison of Virginia Beach and Elizabeth A. Madison of Richmond.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Edwards. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Norfolk or to the Harborton United Methodist Church, Harborton, Va.
