James Richard ``Jr.'' Green Sr., of the 1200 block of Hawthorne Drive, a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died March 9, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Green was born in Rappahanock County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 174 and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He was predeceased by his parents, Maude R. Green and Claude Jordon.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Green Jr. and Damien K. Green, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Viola Green of Front Royal, Va.; two brothers, George Russell Green and Charles William Green, both of Front Royal, Va.; a host of nieces and nephews; and two friends, Bernice J. Bowden and Sarelda James-Green.
The body will be taken to Front Royal, Va., for funeral and burial. A wake will be held Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
